ترجمة الآية 58 من سورة Al-Isra’ - English - سورة الإسراء : عدد الآيات 111 - - الصفحة 287 - الجزء 15.

﴿ وَإِن مِّن قَرۡيَةٍ إِلَّا نَحۡنُ مُهۡلِكُوهَا قَبۡلَ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ أَوۡ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابٗا شَدِيدٗاۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ مَسۡطُورٗا ﴾
[ الإسراء: 58]

﴿ ترجمة: وإن من قرية إلا نحن مهلكوها قبل يوم القيامة أو معذبوها عذابا ﴾

And there is not a town (population) but We shall destroy it before the Day of Resurrection, or punish it with a severe torment. That is written in the Book (of our Decrees)

English - Sahih International

And there is no city but that We will destroy it before the Day of Resurrection or punish it with a severe punishment. That has ever been in the Register inscribed.

Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(17:58) There is no habitation which We shall not destroy before the Day of Resurrection or punish with a severe chastisement. *66 This has been ordained in the Eternal Record.

This is to remove the delusion of the disbelievers that their habitations were immune from danger or chastisement. This verse warns that every habitation will be destroyed as a matter of course or by Allah's chastisement.
