ترجمة الآية 9 من سورة Muhammad - English - سورة محمد : عدد الآيات 38 - - الصفحة 507 - الجزء 26.
﴿ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ كَرِهُواْ مَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ فَأَحۡبَطَ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ ﴾
[ محمد: 9]
﴿ ترجمة: ذلك بأنهم كرهوا ما أنـزل الله فأحبط أعمالهم ﴾
That is because they hate that which Allah has sent down (this Quran and Islamic laws, etc.), so He has made their deeds fruitless.
English - Sahih International
That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds.
Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi
(47:9) That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; *14 so He let their works go to waste.

*14) That is, "They preferred the whims, superstitions, customs and moral perversion of their former ignorance and did not like the teaching that Allah had revealed to guide them to the right way.
