ترجمة الآية 46 من سورة Al-Waqi‘ah - English - سورة الواقعة : عدد الآيات 96 - - الصفحة 535 - الجزء 27.

﴿ وَكَانُواْ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلۡحِنثِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِ ﴾
[ الواقعة: 46]

﴿ ترجمة: وكانوا يصرون على الحنث العظيم ﴾

And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.)


English - Sahih International

And they used to persist in the great violation,

(56:46) and had persisted in the Great Sin. *20

*20) That is, "Their prosperity had an adverse effect on them. Instead of being grateful to Allah Almighty, they had become deniers of His blessings. Lost in pleasure-seeking they had forgotten God and persisted in heinous sinning. "Heinous sinning" includes disbelief, polytheism and atheism as well as every grave sin of morality and conduct."
