ترجمة الآية 42 من سورة Ar-Rum - English - سورة الروم : عدد الآيات 60 - - الصفحة 409 - الجزء 21.
﴿ قُلۡ سِيرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُواْ كَيۡفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلُۚ كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّشۡرِكِينَ ﴾
[ الروم: 42]
﴿ ترجمة: قل سيروا في الأرض فانظروا كيف كان عاقبة الذين من قبل كان ﴾
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.)."
English - Sahih International
Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

(30:42) (O Prophet), say: 'Traverse in the earth and see what was the end of those who went before you: most of them associated others with Allah in His Divinity.' *65

The root cause of the evils that caused the destruction of those nations was shirk which you are today being admonished to avoid."
