ترجمة الآية 106 من سورة Al-Isra’ - English - سورة الإسراء : عدد الآيات 111 - - الصفحة 293 - الجزء 15.
﴿ وَقُرۡءَانٗا فَرَقۡنَٰهُ لِتَقۡرَأَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكۡثٖ وَنَزَّلۡنَٰهُ تَنزِيلٗا ﴾
[ الإسراء: 106]
﴿ ترجمة: وقرآنا فرقناه لتقرأه على الناس على مكث ونـزلناه تنـزيلا ﴾
And (it is) a Quran which We have divided (into parts), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages. (in 23 years).

And [it is] a Qur'an which We have separated [by intervals] that you might recite it to the people over a prolonged period. And We have sent it down progressively.

(17:106) And we have sent down this Qur'an piecemeal so that you may recite it to the people gradually piece by piece, and We have sent it down by gradual Revelations *119 (to suit particular occasions).

*119) This is an answer to this objection: "Why has not Allah sent down His Message as a whole? Why is He sending it piecemeal? Has Allah any need to think deliberately what to send down?" As the answer to this objection has been given in XVI: 101-102 and in the Explanatory Notes 104-106 added to them, there is no need to repeat the same here.
